The Boys Under 14 and Under 16 teams played Toronto FC Academy in a two game series over the weekend at BMO Training Ground. The Girls U14 team will play an all-star series with the best players in the province kicking off on April 29 and 30 while the Girls U16 team will compete against the Girls National Development Centre NextGen at the Ontario Soccer Centre.

Provincial Xcel team selections take place over the course of a calendar year, where players are identified through the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL), or through Talent on Location Days for players who are not enrolled in the talented pathway.

“We’re proud of the talent that continues to come through Ontario Soccer's membership as we all work to provide opportunities for these players to progress to higher levels of the game,” said Matt Ferreira, Director of Development. “With many of the players on both the Men’s and Women's National Teams hailing from Ontario, the incentive for our players to be part of the Talented Player Pathway continues to grow.”
